| Do H1B visas remain valid if you change employers? |
|
Yes they do. As long as the H1B nonimmigrant has not violated status and has a current I-797 H1B approval notice for his or her current employer, the “old” visa remain valid until it expires. Below, find a memo from the then-INS on this subject. It remains valid today: |
